This is the newest section of my site - and I guess you could kind of think of it as a holding ground for lessons or ideas until they find their own section at the site. For instance, though I never taught American Literature (Sophomore year at my school), I have plenty of American Literature Lessons that I created - if there are enough, I will start an American Literature section.

I created this lesson as a favor for a fellow teacher at my school who was teaching Octavia E. Butler's novel. I have been putting poems before each novels that we do in both World Literature and my British Literature class. I was able to use some of the ideas (and suggestions from students) from those classes in putting this together.
